Germany Will Not Give Battle Tanks to Ukraine.

Although desperate to get battle tanks, Germany has made it clear that it will not give them to Ukraine. German Defense Minister Christina Lambrecht said this in Berlin on Monday (September 12).


He said that no country has yet supplied Western-made battle tanks to Ukraine. Germany will not take such a step unilaterally. We will do what our partners do in this regard.


He also said that Germany must meet NATO's military spending target of 2 percent of GDP despite using a special fund of 100 billion euros. Germany must assume military leadership.
