School students are also participating in protests in Iran.

School students also joined the ongoing protests surrounding the death of a young woman in police custody in Iran. On Tuesday (October 4), they took off their hijabs and chanted slogans against the country's religious leaders.


On September 16, protests began in Tehran, the capital of Iran. Allegedly, death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini in police custody over hijab issue. Day by day the protest turns into violence. Hundreds of people have already died in clashes with security forces during the ongoing protests.


This time, school students also participated in the protests spread across Iran. On Tuesday, they took off their headscarves, waved them in the air, and chanted slogans against religious leaders in solidarity with the protest. Several videos of the protest have gone viral on social media. There was also an incident in Tehran where a bottle was thrown at an education official when he interrupted the protest.

Apart from Iran, there have been protests in different countries of the world. Demonstrators cut their hair to protest in Berlin, Germany. The West was called upon to take action against the Iranian government.


Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has warned that Iran will pay a heavy price for its violent behavior against peaceful protesters. He also said that Washington will stand by the people of Tehran.


In the meantime, Iran has responded to Biden's words. The country's foreign ministry said Biden should think about his own country's human rights record before talking about human rights. The country is also accused of being hypocritical about human rights. Even the sanctions imposed on Iran are cited as clear examples of crimes against humanity.
